MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and a proven track record in customer service. Computer literacy and basic accounting and math skills are required. Secondary market lending experience is preferred. Familiarity with MortgageFlex loan origination software is a plus.

Must demonstrate a positive attitude, professional image, and be self-motivated and have the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously with a high degree of accuracy. Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Process secondary market quality real estate loans, order appraisals, verifications of employment and deposit, preliminary title and other supporting documentation.
  • Reviews documents and updates files in MortgageFlex and prepares files for underwriting and closing.
  • Understand and apply all Federal and Investor guidelines, including TRID.
  • Works closely with the Mortgage Loan Officer, members and vendors, keeping interested parties informed during the process.
  • Cross train in other positions as time allows.
  • Scanning and filing as needed.
  • Be willing to perform all other duties as assigned.
  • Represents the Credit Union with honesty, integrity and trust at all times.
  • Adheres to established internal policies and procedures for compliance.
  • Completes required compliance training in a timely manner and complies with all regulations within scope of the position.
  • Adheres to the requirements of the Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC, USA PATRIOT Act and anti-money laundering regulations.
  • Assist Vice President of Mortgage Lending, performing duties as assigned.

BASE EXPECTATIONS:

  • Be willing to perform any duty (beyond Essential Functions above) as assigned.
  • Confidentiality is of the utmost importance.
  • Problem solving skills are essential to this position.
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of the credit union’s loan policy and loan programs.
  • Maintain a general knowledge of all of the credit union’s products and services.
  • Possess a detailed working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel software applications that is adequate to perform the duties assigned.
  • Promote an atmosphere of teamwork throughout the credit union.
  • Ensure good working relationships with Appraisers, Title Companies, Realtors, etc.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with members, coworkers and management, including verbal and written communication.
  • Support the Leadership Team.
  • Ability to solve problems and make decisions within responsibility level.
  • Follows the credit unions Member Service Standards and Telephone Etiquette.
  • Maintain punctuality while adhering to the assigned work schedule.
  • Attend all required meetings unless prior approval is granted.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of items weighing up to 60 lbs.
  • Potential exposure to the threat of violence at any time.
  • Occasional business travel may be required.
  • Sitting or standing for extended periods of time may be required.
  • Repetitive motions and extensive keyboarding may be required.
